316h 316ti aisi 4140 rod are common engineering materials, often used to manufacture high temperature resistant and high strength parts. 316H is a high carbon austenitic stainless steel with strong corrosion resistance and suitable for high temperature environments; 316Ti is an improved version of the 316 series, with titanium added to improve the resistance to high temperature oxidation; AISI 4140 is an alloy steel with good strength and toughness, suitable for mechanical parts that bear large loads.
316H, 316Ti and AISI 4140 are different types of alloy materials commonly used in the industrial field, each with unique properties and application scenarios.
1. **316H stainless steel**: 316H is a high-carbon version of the 316 stainless steel series, mainly used in applications in high-temperature environments. It contains 16-18% chromium, 10-14% nickel and 2-3% molybdenum, and has excellent corrosion resistance, especially suitable for occasions working at high temperatures (500-800°C). The high carbon content of 316H enhances its strength and oxidation resistance at high temperatures, and is widely used in chemical equipment, petrochemical industry and marine engineering.
2. **316Ti stainless steel**: 316Ti is a titanium-stabilized version of 316 stainless steel, with about 0.5% titanium added to improve the material's resistance to intergranular corrosion at high temperatures. The addition of titanium can effectively prevent the segregation of molybdenum and chromium in 316Ti under high temperature environments, and is suitable for equipment in extreme environments, such as heat exchangers, evaporators, etc. Its corrosion resistance is better than 316H, especially in acidic and chloride environments.
3. AISI 4140 alloy steel: AISI 4140 is a low alloy steel containing chromium and molybdenum with high strength and toughness. It is widely used in machining, aviation, automotive and engineering fields, and is suitable for manufacturing high-strength parts such as shafts, gears, crankshafts, etc. AISI 4140 can improve its mechanical properties through heat treatment (such as quenching and tempering), especially under high loads and impacts, it shows good wear resistance and fatigue strength.
